The Dominant's View Mandate and Staff
TDV is a BDSM ezine for Dominants. We're a pansexual product designed for and about Dominants in the BDSM and/or D/s reality.

Only RT (real time) dominants can contribute Feature Articles and a wide range of interests will be included. Our articles will not only reach out to beginners who have found themselves left on their own to learn but will also be equally interesting and informative to those who have already had the pleasure of years of experience.

There's tons of "technical" information on the web, about the generic concepts of BDSM, such as toy-making or safety issues. There are many sites established specifically for submissives. A new dominant is usually pretty much out there on their own. When they attend a first munch or play party and present as a dominant, there is a level of expectation that comes from others with regard to their knowledge. For the most part, "winging it" is the only recourse. There seemed to be a need, The Dominant's View hopes to fill that need. 

Meet the Staff:
As Editor of the zine it became clear right at the start that if I wanted a top quality product that actaully contributed to the wellbeing of lifestylers I had best get some folks here to help me along the way. To that end I'm extremely proud to introduce to you the staff members of TDV who donate many hours of their free time to help bring TDV to your computer.

Kayla Kuffs has been writing BDSM erotica and non fiction for six years, and has been the editor/owner of the BDSM eZine The Dominant’s View for three years.

Kayla’s erotica and other writings have appeared in Best Women's Erotica 2007, Whiplash, Leash, Prometheus and Smut Magazines as well as various websites. A former columnist for Brilliant Smut and ghostwriter for a well known bondage model, Kayla’s writing experience spans BDSM lifestyle, adult entertainment and mainstream erotic genres.

 "Jean Roberta" is the pen name of a writer who torments the young by teaching first-year English courses at a Canadian prairie university, where she is also a consulting editor for the literary journal. Her erotic stories have appeared in over 50 print anthologies, not including websites and magazines. Her stories about academic domme Dr. Athena Chalkdust can be found in Best Lesbian Erotica 2001 and Best Lesbian Erotica 2005 (Cleis), Down Below: Sexy Tales of Erotic Restraint (Cleis), and Tough Girls 2 (Haworth 2007). Billy, columnist for Fact or Fiction, has been actively involved in BDSM for over 30 years, his participation has stretched from the West Coast of the USA and over to Europe. He's seen a wide variety of kink communities and has watched BDSM grow from small groups centralized around bars to the intricate communities we see today. Billy is active in both Club X and SDL in Southern California and now uses his knowledge in the computer industry to run a live internet broadcast called Kinky Parties where people from all over the world can view the goings on of his parties over the web.

Mistress Rana has been publicly involved in BDSM for the past ten years, and privately devoted to it for over 25 years. She believes the lifestyle should be lived, and runs a communal household complete with two live-in slaves. Rana has started another new BDSM group in her hometown of Pahrump, and hopes to see it grow according to the Old World protocols and practices. Rick Umbaugh tied up his first lover in 1968 but he considers his membership in the Leather Scene to have started with his joining The Eulenspeigel Society in 1975 (after walking past the door 5 times without going in). He has been turned on by S/m much longer, however. His fantasies of bound women and S/m oriented play goes back to puberty, indeed he outed himself (long before the term was invented) by turning in a short story to his 6th grade teacher which would have made some very credible S/m porn (for an 11 year old). Since these beginnings he has been in and out of the scene and was one of the first members of The DomSubFriends Society. He currently is a writer, actor and teacher living in The Bay Area.
